Bai Lu, “Dalat on sea” in Nghe An

With vast pine forests near the sea, Bai Lu is really a perfect alternative for Cua Lo destination in Nghe An.

Situated in territory of Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province and 20 km from Cua Lo, Bai Lu is an ideal place for resting, relaxing in cool fresh air of nature. After the 4 km tarred road from national highway 1A, you will land on “Dalat on sea” of Nghe An.

The reason for this comparison is because Bai Lu owns boundless rows of pine trees directing towards the sea. In the distance, Bai Lu is outstanding with snaking sandy shoreline embracing the sea, one side sparking water reflecting blue sky and another side is green color of pine trees swaying over a white beach. Walking in the pine forests on hot days makes tourists in Bai Lu feel like living in Dalat among immense sea.

Bai Lu is occupied by sea a lot. Thus, the water is so clear that you could see every single pebble. According to scientists, because of Bai Lu’s location in area of rocky deposit and close distance between sea and mountains, proportion of mineral of water is rather high and thereby very healthy. Besides, the lazy waves and long flat sand beach is extremely suitable for volleyball and football games. And when the sun disappears below the western half of the horizon, you could set you free with beach biking.

Travelling to Bai Lu, you will be given two options. If big budget, you could rest at luxury beach resorts. Otherwise, you are still able to enjoy your trip with interesting surrounding destinations. The foremost spot is imposing Lu mountain nearby the sea. Reaching to the top of the mountain, you will see Pisces, Eye, Lan Chau islands in the distance and Hung Linh, Dragon, Oven, Flag, Sword mountains in the near distance.

Kenh Sat (Iron Canal) is another attractive tourist destination on the way to Bai Lu. Apart from deep blue water dyed by iron ore in Thiet Son mountain, this place also has temple worshiping Son Than and Thanh Mau, previously was Ne temple attached with legend about Ho Quy Ly and Bach Y princess.

If departing from Hanoi, you could stop over at Cuong temple, almost 10 km from Bai Lu. This is a sacred popular temple of Nghe An worshiping An Duong Vuong whose location at Mo Da mountain’s slope, adjoining to national highway 1A. It was also said to be the place where the king killed My Chau by his sword before plunging himself into the sea.

The cluster of Bai Lu, Mo Da mountain, Cuong temple, Kenh Sat is truly an attractive spiritual eco-tousism area of visitors throughout the country. At present, you could arrive Vinh city by train, land or air and then go along national highway 1A for 20 km to the North to reach Bai Lu. With 2 day off at weekend, you will have memorable experience at Bai Lu.
