Weekly antique fair, new attraction in Hanoi

The Hanoi antique fair at Hanoi Museum from 9 am to 4 .30 pm every Sunday is expected to be an interesting attraction for domestic and foreign visitors.

The fair consists of 40 booths selling second-hand items of different historical periods, fake antiques and handicrafts such as silk, lacquer, a product from horn and ceramic… The booths are designed in open space and style of rural market in the North region. The number of the booth may vary depending on customer demand.

Due to the high cultural value of the fair, the two organization units, namely Thang Long Antique Association and Hanoi Museum will tightly manage the items to prevent counterfeit trade and prohibited goods and support, provide consultancy for customers at the same time.

The fair also organizes folk music program to serve visitors and customers. Moreover, the visitors will have the chance to admire bonsai art through 15,000 ornamental plants displayed at the court of Hanoi Museum.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi are offering request to travel agencies in the city on introducing the fair to tourists and design sightseeing and shopping tours at the fair. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the fair is the chance for tourists to visit and buy cultural items featuring specific characteristics of each region in the country.
