Cham Island, world biosphere reserve

18 km off the coast from Cua Dai beach in Hoian to the East, Cham island comprises 18 islets: Hon Lao, Hon Kho Me, Hon Kho con, Hon Tai, Hon Dai, Hon Mo, Hon La, Hon Ong…  Fishing villages and beaches in Cham Island are so charming as story “The old man and the sea” by Hemingway. Under the water is a world of  sparkling corals, creating mysterious gardens with numerous collection of  tropical fish and sea food. The sauna and flora on island is quite abundant. This is considered as the the home to value salanganes with varied wild animals.

Coming to Cham Island, travelers will be immersed in clean blue water and fine sandy beach, explore rural living of friendly-ever inhabitants; admire stunning beauty of legendary destinations such as Huong beach, Lang beach, Ba cave, Hai Tang pagoda… or conquer majestic hills, take part in camp-fire night and enjoy popular local specialties such as stone crab, “vu nang” snail.

Cham Island is also mentioned a lot in history and literature. It used to be the main port that connected Champa Kingdom to outside world.
