When to start application?

An application can be submitted as early as 6 months prior to the trip, so you should apply as soon as possible. The Vietnam visa validity begins on the travel date specified in appication. You are permitted to enter Vietnam anytime while the visa is valid.

3 different options to get Vietnam visa in Scottsdale

Option 1. Electronic visa (Evisa)

Applicable to U.S travelers entering Vietnam no longer than 30 days via one of those ports of entry.

Step 1. Upload your photo and complete application form online.

Step 2. Pay USD 25 non-refundable visa fee online and receive application code.

Step 3. After 3 business days, you enter application code, registration email address and date of birth into search menu on the site to download visa letter. Don’t wait the evisa to be sent to your email.

Step 4.Show the e-visa at port of entry and get entry stamp from immigration officer.

Step 4: Print out the approval and complete entry-exit form, prepare 01 passport-sized photo and stamping fee.

Step 5: Fly to Vietnam. At “Landing Visa” counter, you are requested to submit an original passport with approval, entry-exit form, and photo. Depending on length of queue, it takes 15-20 minutes for the visa to be granted. Once the visa is ready, you pay stamping fee to the offer and get the passport back.

Option 3: Traditional visa

Suggested to those who wish to get visa before arrival

Documents required:

•  Original passport valid for at least 01 month prior to date of exit from Vietnam (the airlines are very strict to 6 months passport validity rules. Remember to check passport validity before you go).
• Completed application form (the form is available at Immigration Department page http://visa.mofa.gov.vn). Alternatively, you can download the form on website of Vietnam Embassy in United States.
• 01 newly taken passport photo.
• A prepaid return envelope. One envelope can be used for a group of applicants. For your documents safety, the embassy advises you to use USPS Express Mail, DHL/Express Mail, certified mail or Fedex with the tracking numbers.
• Vietnam visa fee: should be paid in form of money order, cashier’s check, or company check payable to “Embassy of Vietnam”.

Processing time: 5 business days on normal service and 1-2 business days on expedite service.

In order to avoid any problems at last minute of the travel, you had better double check accuracy of the application form before submitting and the visa at the time you get it. Report the mistakes (if any) to the agency/embassy immediately to be issued new visa.
