How to get Vietnam visa in New South Memphis,United States

As of 2018, US passport holders have 3 options to obtain visa to Vietnam:

1. Apply directly at embassy or consulate of Vietnam to receive full visa stamp inside passport before traveling
2. Register online for visa approval through local agencies to be issued visa stamp at arrival airports.
3. Apply for evisa to enter via airports and some landports/seaports.

1. Get Vietnam visa from embassy

Not any Vietnam embassy or consulate is available in New South Memphis at this time. All applicants in the city are expected to submit application by post to embassy in Washington or the nearest consulate. A complete application includes:

• Application form: is available at any website of embassy and consulate. Affix one color passport photo to the form after you completing it and printing it out.
• Original passport: is valid for at least 1 month beyond the date you exit Vietnam. If you are traveling by plane, the passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining.
• Prepaid return envelope: must be included for return of passport and visa. One envelope can be used for a group application.

Note:For special case, the embassy or consulate may contact with you to request supporting documents. Please do not provide any other papers unless you are required.

The waiting time for the visa is 3-5 business days (excluding weekend and shipping time). Pay additional fee if you would like to get visa earlier.

2. Get Vietnam visa on arrival

The process of Vietnam visa on arrival for US citizens involves 4 steps as follows:

Step 1:

For tourist visa, provide your personal information and select visa validity at this page.

For business visa, please send copy of your passport with expected travel date to email support@vietnamvisa-easy.com. It’s important to specify your wanted visa validity as we need it to quote the fee.

Step 2: Make credit/debit payment for your application.  The fee structure can be found at this page.

Step 3: Receive visa approval letter alon with one entry/exit form via email within 48 business hours or less. Check accuracy of the approval. Any mistakes must be reported immediately for correction (if possible) or re-processing.

Step 4: When you leave the plane, approach a Visa On Arrival Window and submit your original passport, print copy of visa approval, with completed entry-exit form.  As there is a long queue of people getting visa at the same time, the process may take 15 minutes or longer. (Use stamping assistance service if you want to receive the visa immediately) When your turn comes, the immigration officer will call your name and request you to pay stamping fee before granting the visa. 

3. Electronic visa (evisa)

Evisa is a cheapest option but it is only applicable for 1 month single tourist visa. Before making the application, you should check the list of ports that allow evisa entry.

Step 1: Fill out application form online and upload your photo.

Step 2: Make payment of $25 visa fee online with credit/debit card. After the payment is successful; you will receive an application code to track visa status later.

Wait 3 working days….

Step 3. Enter booking number, registration email, date of birth to download the visa letter (in case the application is approved) from the site of application.
