How to get Vietnam visa in Portland,United States

Requirements:
• Application form: is available at http://visa.mofa.gov.vn (you have 15 minutes to complete the form online). Moreover, you can download the form directly from website of Vietnam embassy.
• Passport: original or hard copy. If you submit the copy, the embassy will grant a loose-leaf visa.
• 01 passport-sized photo: must be taken against white background, no hat, no glasses. Prepare 02 photos if you need a loose-leaf visa.
• Return prepaid envelope: for return of the passport and visa result. One envelope can be used for group application.
• Evidence of payment: cashier’s check, money order, or certified check. The visa fee varies depending on type of visa and length of stay.
Waiting time for visa to be issued is 5 working days on standard basis and 1-2 working days for urgent basis. You are asked not to make a phone inquiry about the status of application before the 3rd processing day.

Procedure:

Obtain visa approval letter with entry/exit form on the next day of application (normal service) or on the same day (rush visa service) via email.
At landing visa counter, present the letter with origin passport, entry/exit form, 01 passport photo. The visa sticker will be granted in minutes. You will have to pay some stamping fee to get the passport with visa back. The fee is $25 for single entry, $50 for multiple entry visa valid for no longer than 3 months, $95 for 6 months multiple entry, $135 for 1 year multiple entry, payable by cash, either VND or USD.
Advice:
Check errors of application before submitting
Make sure your passport is valid for no less than 6 months validity if traveling by air. Some airlines are very strict about validity of passport.
