How to get Vietnam visa in Corpus Christi,United States

You are so confused about Vietnam visa process because what embassy said to you is different from information you found on travel sites? According to immigration laws, the US citizens are allowed to obtain visa to Vietnam in 2 ways:

1.  Apply from embassy or consulate of Vietnam to receive full visa stamp inside passport before traveling

2.  Apply online for visa approval through local agencies to be granted visa stamp on arrival (applicable for people traveling by air only)

There can be no dispute that Visa On Arrival process is far easier, cheaper and quicker than visa process at embassy. However, it only works well in case you are travelling by air. For this reason, the embassy still plays an important role in visa service.

Get Vietnam visa from embassy

Not any Vietnam embassy or consulate is available in Corpus Christi at this time. All applicants in the city are expected to submit application by post to embassy in Washington or the nearest consulate. A complete application includes:

• Application form: is available at any website of embassy and consulate. Affix one color passport photo to the form after you completing it and printing it out.
• Original passport: is valid for at least 1 month after the date of exit from Vietnam. If you are traveling by plane, the passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining. Supply copy of your passport as alternate if you feel unsecured when sending the original. In that case, a loose leaf visa will be granted.
• Prepaid return envelope: must be included for return of passport and visa. One envelope can be used for a group application.
• Evidence of payment: must be cashier’s check, money order, or certified check. For details about quotation, please contact directly with the embassy or consulate.

Note:For special case, the embassy or consulate may contact with you to request supporting documents. Please do not provide any other papers unless you are required.

The waiting time for the visa is 3-5 business days (excluding weekend and shipping time). Pay additional fee if you would like to get visa earlier.

Get Vietnam visa on arrival

The process of visa on arrival for US citizens involves 4 steps as follows:

Step 1:

For tourist visa, refer to http://www.vietnamvisa-easy.com/apply complete application form online with your personal information including full name, passport number, date of birth, intended date of travel. The applicants are not advised to book flight before making application so you don’t need to provide optional information about arrival airport.

For request on Vietnam business visa, please send copy of your passport to email support@vietnamvisa-easy.com with information about expected travel date and type of visa (single or multiple, length of stay).

Step 2:

Step 3:

Receive visa approval letter via email within 48 business hours or less. (Read more at how to get urgent Vietnam visa on arrival) Check the letter carefully to make sure your personal information and length of stay are correct.

An entry-exit form is also delivered to your email. You are advised to complete the form and attach it with 01 passport photo to save time getting visa stamp at arrival airport.

Step 4:

When you leave the plane, approach a Visa On Arrival Window and submit your original passport, print copy of visa approval, with completed entry-exit form.  As there is a long queue of people getting visa at the same time, the process may take 15 minutes or longer. (Use stamping assistance service if you want to receive the visa immediately) When your turn comes, the immigration officer will call your name and request you to pay stamping fee before granting the visa. From 23^rd November 2015, the stamping fee is USD 25 for single visa and USD 50 for multiple visa.
