How to get Vietnam visa in Milwaukee,United States

People traveling with US passport must have a visa to enter Vietnam. By reading this post, you will learn 3 different methods to get Vietnam visa from Milwaukee.

Option 1. Electronic visa (Evisa)

Applicable to U.S travelers entering Vietnam less than 30 days via one of these ports of entry.

When you land at the airport, join the lines in front of Visa On Arrival (or Landing Visa) window and hand in your passport, approval, entry/exit form, and  01 passport sized photo. Wait until your name is read out. You then pay stamping fee- USD 135 for 1 year multiple entry visa. It is vital that you must pay the fee in cash as the authorities do not accept credit payments. Another notice that only USD and VND are accepted.

Option 3. Get visa at embass/consulate

Vietnam currently remains 3 embassies and consulates in the U.S.A including: Washington, New York, and San Francisco. The requirements for application are the same but there is a slight change in visa fee. Here are papers you must prepare before presenting at consular office and request a visa for Vietnam for US passport:

• Application form:  available at webpage and office of embassy.
• Valid original passport: if you are afraid of loss or damage of passport when it’s delivered to embassy, it’s possible to provide a copy of passport. Accordingly, a loose-leaf visa will be granted.
