Question
I know their is already many questions on Vietnamese Visas but my problem is quite specific. I am planning a 6 week long trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. I don't know when my exact date of arrival in Vietnam will be, however I want to arrange my visa. Im at the UK. My question is if I put an estimated date of arrival will it be okay if I arrive any time after that date or do I need to arrive on an exact date wrote on the form ? and how to apply? Please get back to me, cheers

Dear Louis,
Thank you for your question!
Exactly as you said, you do not need to provide the exact date of arrival to Vietnam when you are not sure. You just need to submit your estimated date of arrival and you can visit Vietnam anytime after date of entry on your visa by the day it gets expired.
To apply for visa for Vietnam, you can contact with Vietnam Embassy or choose the better way in case you travel to Vietnam by air. That is Vietnam visa on arrival. The following are 4 simple steps to obtain a visa on arrival from your country:
- Fill out visa application form electronically on this site
- Settle the payment as per instructions
- Receive your visa approval letter after 1working day (urgent service), or 2 working days (normal service) via email
- Print the letter out and bring it together with your photos + passport to the arrival airport in Vietnam, pay stamping fee according to the rate regulated by the Government then pick up your visa there.
Kind regards,
