How to get Vietnam visa in Omaha,United States

Since Vietnamese government launched Visa On Arrival program, the US applicants, especially people living in the cities where there is no permanent consular presence like Omaha, are able to obtain visa to Vietnam effortlessly without submitting application in person at embassy/consulate.

Eligibility

Currently, Visa On Arrival is only applicable to applicants traveling by airplane.  If your schedule is to cross border into Vietnam from neighboring, the Vietnam visa must be attached to your passport before reaching land border gate.

Validity

Visa upon arrival for US citizens allows single and multiple entry for a maximum of 90 days (tourism purpose) or 1 year (business purpose). The visa can be extended after you have arrived in Vietnam.

Procedure

1.  Fill out application form online

The application form is available at http://www.vietnamvisa-easy.com/apply. You are requested to select visa type, specify date of arrival and provide typical personal information such as full name, date of birth, passport number.

Note:the airplane ticker is not required when you make application. If you are not sure about when you will fly to Vietnam, just enter the expected date. Your visa becomes valid from the arrival date indicated in the form until it expires and you are permitted to visit Vietnam ANYTIME during period of visa validity.

2.  Make online payment

The application must be paid in full before it is sent to Immigration Department for processing. You can pay the fee either with credit or debit card. The money transfer is also accepted. The visa fee is various depending on visa type, how big your group is and how long you want to get the visa approval. If you demand an urgent Vietnam visa, kindly contact us directly.

3.  Receive visa approval letter via email

Visa approval is issued by Immigration Department that enables you to board the plane and pick up visa stamp on arrival. Usually, it is sent along with an entry-exit form. Filling out the form helps save time getting the visa at airport. You are advised to double check the letter before making its print copy. If there’s any mistake in the letter, it must be reported to us as soon as possible.

4.   Get visa stamped at arrival airport

Upon arrival, you have to stand in line front of the Visa On Arrival Window and submit the following documents:

• Completed entry-exit form
• 01 recent passport photo
• Valid passport

After 10-20 minutes depending on the queue (use stamping assistance service if you want our staff to get visa stamp on your behalf within a few minutes), your name is called and you are requested to pay stamping fee. Then the immigration officer grants the visa stamp with a red payment receipt.

How to get Vietnam visa in Omaha if traveling by land/sea?

The answer is embassy/consulate. There are 1 Vietnam Embassy in Washington and 3 consulates in Houston, San Francisco and New York.  You may apply at any of Vietnam embassy/consulate in the U.S.A or in other countries. General requirements include:

• Completed application form
• Valid original passport or passport photo if you would like a loose-leaf visa
• 01 passport photo taken within the last 6 months. Plus one photo if you apply for loose-leaf visa
• Visa fees: vary in each embassy/consulate in different countries. Contact with the embassy at which you plan to submit application for details. The embassy/consulates in U.S.A request the fee to be paid by cash (for in-person application) or cashier’s check, money order, certified check.
• Prepaid return envelope: must be enclosed in case you want the passport to be sent back by post. One envelope can be used for more than one applicant.
