Notes before apply:
• The Vietnam government stops issuing short visas for U.S citizens since 20th August, 2016. Accordingly, the U.S citizens will always receive 1 year multiple visa for both short and long trips.
• The visa is valid for one year starting from proposed date of travel indicated in application form. The travelers are permitted to visit Vietnam multiple times in 1 year but no longer than 90 days per entry. In order to stay in the country as long as possible, 1 year multiple business visa is the best option.
Vietnam visa process
Step 1: Complete application form online at address http://www.vietnamvisa-easycom/apply if you need a tourist visa, and supply passport copy with intended travel date to address [email protected]in case you want a Vietnam business visa.
Step 2: Pay for visa application with credit/debit card. It costs $30 for tourist visa and $280 for business visa. Once the payment is approved, you will be directed to Thank you page. If payment is declined, you can either make a new application or use our link to pay again.
Step 3: Receive approval letter by immigration Department via email within 2 business days for tourist visa and 7 business days for business visa. Step 4: Fly to Vietnam. Approach “Visa On Arrival” counter and present documents below:
• Origin passport with minimum 6 months validity remaining
• Copy of visa approval
• Completed entry-exit form: download here (usually, the form is provided at the same time with approval)
• 01 passport sized photo
The waiting time is between 15-30 minutes depending on length of the queue. You can request our stamping assistance on arrival to avoid facing a long wait at immigration counter. Service fee is $22/person.
When the officer calls your name that means your visa is ready. What you have to do next is giving him $135 stamping fee and get the passport back.
For some reasons, the visa on arrival is applicable for arrivals by air only. If you schedule to enter Vietnam by bus or cruise, please submit application at Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco.
