How to get a Vietnam visa in Los Angeles

Next step, use your credit/debit card to pay $30 processing fee for 1 year multiple tourist visa.(Note: starting from 30^th August 2016, every U.S citizen are granted 1 year visa for their trip no matter how long they would visit Vietnam. Step 2: Receive visa approval

Once the processing is completed, an image copy of approval letter will be sent to you along with an entry-exit form via email. You have to print out the letter, fill out the form and attach it with 01 passport-sized photo.  Be sure you check errors on the letter before you travel and not be surprised if you find your name listed with some strange people. Step 3: Book flight ticket and fly to Vietnam

Upon departure, you have to show the letter of approval to be allowed to board the flight. If the limited time doesn’t allow you to print out the letter, then show it on electronic device such as mobile phone, ipad, and laptop.

Step 4: Arrive in Vietnam

Each Vietnam’s international airport has a Visa On Arrival Window. After getting off the plane, you approach the “Visa On Arrival/Landing” window and submit the passport, visa approval, a passport photo and entry-exit form. Once the officer calls your name, you pay $135 stamping fee and receive the passport back with a visa stamp on it.

Step 1: Fill out application form online

Visit official website of immigration department at http://visa.mofa.gov.vnto fill in the form. If you cannot complete it online, access the embassy/consulate’s website to download PDF file and enter required information. After that, print out the form, sign on it and attach with 01 passport photo.

Step 2: Make payment

Get a money order, cashier’s check or certified check payable to the Embassy of Vietnam or the consulate you want to submit application.

Step 3: Gather the documents

Put your original passport (with a minimum of 1 month validity from date of exit from Vietnam), application form, visa approval, self-addressed return envelope and payment into an envelope and mail it to the embassy or consulate.

Step 4: Get the visa stamp

Wait for your passport to be returned with one page attached to visa stamp. The processing time takes around 3-5 business days for standard service and 1-2 business days for fast track service. Any mistake on the visa must be reported to embassy for immediate amendment.
