How to get a Vietnam business visa

Is it hard to get a Vietnam business visa? The answer is Yes. But it happens only when you apply at embassy/consulate. If you are looking for a hassle-free way of obtaining the visa for business purpose, the travel agents are very helpful. They know what they do and how to complete it as quickly as possible. I this post, we will show you how to get a Vietnam business visa within a few days without submission of documents.

Guide to apply

Step 1: Decide the type of visa you want. Here are options for you to select from: 01 month single visa/multiple, 03 months single visa/multiple, 6 months multiple visa or 1 year multiple visa.

Step 2: Scan the passport page containing your personal data and send to the [email protected]Don’t forget to let the agent know type of visa you request and the proposed date of entry. If you apply for 6 months and 1 year visa, please include the name of Vietnam Embassy/Consulate for which you want to pick up the visa stamp.

Step 3:Get the payment link from the agent and use it to pay the processing fee with your credit/debit card. The accepted cards are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB and Diners Club. Please visit this page to see the fee structure.

Step 4: Receive the visa approval in your email within 2-3 business days (normal service) or 1 business day (express service). For application for long-term business visa, the processing time requires 5-7 business days. Once you have the letter of visa approval, spend a few minutes to check its accuracy and report the agent instantly when you find an error.

Step 5: Print the visa approval (black and white copy is good enough, the color copy is better), complete entry-exit form, take a passport-sized photo and attach it to the form.

Step 6: On arrival

• For short-term visa (valid for 1 and 3 months): Submit the prepared documents and pay stamping fee (By cash, US.Dollar or VN dong currency) at immigration counter. Get the stamped passport back after 10-15 minutes.

Note: The visa approval works at any of Vietnam’s international airports but not valid at border gate. If you want to cross the border into Vietnam, at time of application, you have to select a Vietnam embassy/consulate from which you want to collect the visa and you will carry the letter to the embassy to get the visa stamp.

• For long-term visa (valid for more than 6 months): the long-term business visa cannot be picked up on arrival so you have to arrive at the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate named in the application to receive the visa. When you get there, just submit the documents prepared beforehand and pay stamping fee ($95 for 6 months visa and $135 for 1 year visa). The embassy then will be happy to put a visa stamp on your passport.
