Requirements of Vietnam visa for Chinese
The first requirement for Chinese citizens to enter Vietnam is applying for a visa. If you need some advice on how to get Vietnam visa from China, this article is made for you.
Chinese passport holders can obtain visa for Vietnam in two ways:
1. Obtain Vietnam visa at embassy
* What documents to submit:
- A valid passport with one blank page for stamp visa
- An application form (free at the embassy)
- 2 passport-sized photos
- Visa fee (in cash)

2. Obtain Vietnam visa on arrival: available for air travelers only
Currently, Vietnam visa approval letter is not accepted by several Chinese airlines. For this reason, the Chinese passport holder are unable to apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival if they fly to Vietnam form Chinese mainland. To obtain a visa at the airport on arrival, the Chinese citizens must meet following requirements:
- Travel to Vietnam by air from outside China mainland
- Hold a valid passport
* Procedure:
- Complete the secure online application form at here
- Pay service fee for visa approval letter (See details about visa charges for Chinese here)
- Obtain visa approval letter via email within 2 working days
- Get visa stamp at one of 3 international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh)
