Check Vietnam visa requirements
Until now, Vietnam Government has offered visa-free entry for citizens of 16 countries including Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Brunei, Japan, South Korea, Finland, Norway, Russia, Denmark, Sweden. For citizens of other countries, you must obtain a visa before arriving in Vietnam. Here's what you need to know to prepare your Vietnam visa application.
When applying for a visa at Vietnam Embassy in your country, you will be required the following documents:
- Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months and has at least 2 blank pages
- Visa application form (available on website of the embassy)
- 01 recent passport photograph
- Vietnam visa fee
For business visa application, several embassies will require visa approval from Immigration Department arranged by a sponsor or parner in Vietnam. If you do not have a sponsor, contact with the embassy for more guidance and assistance.
Required time to issue the visa Vietnam may vary among the embassies. Generally, it takes about 2-5 working days to complete. In case of emergency, rush visa service is available for additional fees.

Vietnam visa on arrival
The procedure will be much simpler and easier if you apply for Vietnam visa on arrival. You just need to apply online on our website, pay the visa fee with your credit/debit card and receive the visa approval letter via emai after 2 working days only. When you arrive at Vietnam’s airport, a physical visa will be stamped onto your passport and you know what happens next. Pick up your visa and enjoy you trip.
Note: Visa upon arrival is only applicable for those who travel to Vietnam by air only.
