Visa for Vietnam in 2014

Apart from the news that Myanmar has entered the visa exemption list, visa for Vietnam in 2014 has no changes. Foreigners are still offered 2 options to obtain a Vietnam visa as usual. The first is obtaining the visa at Embassy of Vietnam and the second is applying for a visa on arrival through competent Vietnamese travel companies.

The popular required documents to apply at Vietnam Embassy are still an application form, 2 passport photos, 1 valid origin passport and Vietnam visa fee. At several embassies applicants are requested to submit an invitation letter from a sponsor in Vietnam if they apply for a business visa Vietnam. Time to process Vietnam visa application is also various among the embssies. The average time is about 2-4 business days. All of embassies of Vietnam work from Monday to Friday. Some of them require an appointment before a visit, some of them do not require. Still,  you had better contact the consular section of Vietnam Embassy to get the detailed instructions. The validity of Vietnam tourist visa at the embassy is about 15-30 days and the business visa is often valid for 1 monh, 3 months, even 1 year. Vietnam visa fee among the embassies are different. Thus, to get specific fee, please contact with the embassy.
