Vietnam visa requirements for Egypt citizens

For Egyptian citizens wishing to travel to Vietnam, we would like to remind you about the importance of getting a Vietnam visa from Egypt in advance of the trip to guarantee your stay in Vietnam. When should you apply for the visa?

How to obtain visa for Vietnam?

To make travel easier for Egyptian citizens, Vietnam government offers 2 application methods:

Apply at embassy

For Egyptian travelers crossing overland into Vietnam, you must obtain the visa stamp at embassy before leaving. The procedures are quite simple, you submit the documents required (by mail or in person), pay the fee and wait 5 days to collect the visa. Here is the list of documents must be provided:

·   Original passport valid for at least 01 month prior to date of exit from Vietnam (if you travel by air, your passport should have a minimum of 6 months validity to meet requirements of the airlines). In urgent case, you could submit passport copy to request a loose-leaf visa.

·   Completed application form (the form is available here. You have 15 minutes to fill it out. )

·   01 passport photo taken within the past 6 months. If you request a loose-leaf visa, 2 photos are required.

·   Visa approval letter from Immigration Department (contact us to get the visa approval. The embassy is also willing to arrange it for you with a small fee)

·   A prepaid return envelope if you want to receive the visa by mail. One envelope can be used for a group of applicants. For your documents safety, the embassy advises you to use USPS Express Mail, DHL/Express Mail, certified mail or Fedex with the tracking numbers.

·   Vietnam visa fee: should be paid in form of money order, cashier’s check, or company check payable to “Embassy of Vietnam”.

Please note:

·      The other services such as arrangement of visa approval, expedited processing, shipping will require additional fee.

·      Do not make telephone inquiries on status of your application until after the 3^rd business days (standard processing) or 1^st business day (expedited processing)

·      No mail can be delivered at the embassy during weekends and holidays.

Apply online

For Egyptian visitors entering Vietnam by air, you have once more option to apply online for visa from the comfort of your home. 

First of all, you need go to “Apply Online” to complete application form. Review the form before hitting the “Send” button. you can pay using Onepay or Paypal.

Please keep in mind that the application form is made for tourist visa. In order to request a Vietnam business visa, you should email us with a copy of your passport and information about tentative travel date on support@vietnamvisa-easy.com. Our reply will include the payment link.

The average processing time is 2 business days. We also offer priority Visa Service to support applicants obtain their emergency Vietnam visa on the same day. The visa approval letter is usually sent via email. In case you want to receive it by fax, a small additional fee will be required.

With the approval letter in hand, you are now ready to fly to Vietnam and pick up the physical visa at arrival airport. Before you go, kindly prepare the following documents as you will need it for on-arrival stamping process:

·      Original passport with at least 6 months validity remaining. If there is no empty page on the passport, you will be granted a loose-leaf visa

·      Completed entry-exit form (download here. If you use our visa service, we will send you the form and approval letter at the same time)

·      01 passport photo taken recently

·      Cash in American dollars or Vietnam dongs ($25 for single visas, $50 for multiple visa, $135 for 1 year multiple visa)

Visa requirements for transit purpose

Vietnam transit visa is only available for tour group accompanied by a tour guide and sponsored by a travel agent. If you travel independently and transit through Vietnam’s airport but have no plan to cross immigration area, you are exempted from a transit visa.
