Situated about 90 km from Long Xuyen city, Cam Mountain or also known as Thien Cam Son is the biggest and highest peak of majestic That Son mountain range of An Hao Commune, Tinh Bien District, An Giang Province.

From 710 m altitude of Vo Bo Hong, visitors could have a bird’s eye-view of Phat Lon pagoda, imposing Cam Mountain in Mekong Delta. The scenery from view of Cam Son peak looks like a big basin surrounded by rolling mountains of Thien Cam Son such as: Vo Dau, Vo Bo Hong, Vo Thien Tue…. Owing to such height and terrain, Cam Mountain is considered as the second Dalat of Mekong Delta. This place features cool climate and unique natural scenes that draw a large number of visitors every year. It is also attached to mysterious legends and myths.

Regarding the mountain’s name, it was said that Cam (Forbidden) Mountain used to be very arduous and the home to predators. No one dared to come here apart from the gods living in the empyrean. Thus, the local people warned each other not to enter the territory of that sacred mountain. In another legend, Nguyen Anh ran to this mountain to escape from the chase of Tay Son army. Therefore, a command was released to forbid anyone from getting close to the mountain. Since then, it was called Cam Mountain.

At the foot of the mountain to the East is Lam Vien Nui Cam tourism site with an area of 100 ha that offers a variety of entertainment services and Kaolin restaurant, where serves local specialties of Bay Nui area. On the way to the mountain from Lam Vien, visitors soak in cool water of romantic Thanh Long stream for refreshment. “Nui Cam Plateau” area lies at the turning point of the road. Turn right and keep going about 1 km, tourists will see Vo Thien Tue. To the right direction of the pathway is Phat Lon pagoda, tourists could stop over at Thuy Liem Grotto or pass O Cat to visit Vo Bach Statue (a big white stone elephant augustly standing by the mountain slope). The next spot is Phat Lon pagoda, Van Linh pagoda, Vo Bo Lon, Van Linh pagoda and lastly Vo Bo Hong, the highest peak of Cam Mountain and Mekong Delta. On beautiful sunny days, visitors could see Ha Tien sea clearly.
