10 perfect destinations in summer

In summer, people tend to go to the beach or mountain to escape from strong sun. In this article, I propose you 10 places to have a cool summer.

1. Đa Lat

Dalat city lies on Lam Vien plateau, in the Central highland province of Lam Dong which built by French in early century XX. Being located 1,500 m above sea level and surrounded by forest, Da Lat’s year-round temperate weather.



With a century history, Dalat has a valuable architectural heritage which is compared as museum of ancient European architecture. These features make Dalat one of the most famous tourism destinations in Vietnam

2. Sa Pa
Sapa is a highland town of Sapa district, Lao Cao. SaPa lies at an altitude of about 1.500-1650 m with subtropical and temperate climate. The temperature remains stably cool throughout the year. More than that, tourists could experience 4 seasons in a day in Sapa.



The average temperature in Sapa is 15 °C, with a maximum of 25 °C in summer and minimum is below 0 °C and snowy.

3. Phia Oac
Being situated at approximately 2.000 m above sea level, Phia Oac peak claims to be the “heaven” for adventurous travelers. The average temperature is always below 15 °C. Because of high humidity, this place is often covered by clouds and be freezing in winter.



Besides, there are tens of French ancient villas remain abandoned in forests of Phia Oac.

4. Tam Đao

Tam Dao town is built on Tam Dao mountain range by French to serve as resort in early century XX. Being situated at 900 m above sea level, climate in Tam Dao is very cool and fresh with the moves of 4 seasons in one day.

Not far away from Tam Dao are popular landscapes such as Tay Thien pagoda, Tay Thien temple and Tam Dao national park.

5. Mau Son
Mau Son is a high mountain area situated at the North East of Lang Son province with average height of about 1.000 m above sea level. This place is famous for beautiful setting and specialties such as Tuyet Son tea, roasted pork…



The average temperature in this area is 15,5°C. In winter, the temperature is always below 0°C, freezing and probably snowy. Mau Son tourism site has an area of 20 ha with facilities which could be able to meet tourists’ needs.

6. Moc Chau



Moc Chau plateau has an average height of 1,050 m above sea level with distinctive features of subtropical climate
With fascinating scenery of tea hills, farms, forests and streams, Moc Chau is the favorite spot for pack-backers and photographers as well.

7. Ba Vi
Being 50 km from Hanoi, Ba Vi national park spreads across Ba Vi mountain range to the North East-South West.



Since early century XX, Ba Vi has been well-known for diverse ecosystem, beautiful landscapes, cool weather. This is an ideal destination for those who like relaxation travel and adventurous travel.

8. Đong Van
To be over 1,000 m above sea surface, Dong Van plateau is Vietnam’s northernmost point. This plateau is recognized as world geological park by UNESCO due to its unique features of geological structure.



About tourists, this place has many amazing scenes, unique culture of ethnic minority groups, temperate climate and primitive beauty which is very suitable for long treks.

9. Bach Ma



Bach Ma mountain range (Thua Thien Hue) is definitely one of tourism site which has the most temperate climate in highlands of Dong Duong. With favorable situation of 1,500 m above the sea and by the sea, temperature in Bach Ma is never below 4°C in winter and over 26°C in summer.
This resort was constructed on the peak of mountain by French in 1930s

10. Ba Na
Together with Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra, Bana is one of the most beautiful mountains in Da Nang. This mountain has temperate climate with annual average temperature is about 15-20°C, maximum temperature is 22-25°C and the temperature at night is 15-17°C.



Ba Na resort was established in early century XX but abandoned for half of century because of war. Ba Na was awakened to become popular resort of Central Vietnam in 2000.
